MODELING THE PROCESSES OF SALINIZATION OF FROZEN SOILS (ON THE EXAMPLE OF AGROZEMS OF CENTRAL YAKUTIA)

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Legostaeva, Y. B., Gololobova, A. G., Popa, R., Bob, C., Radeanu, C.)

A significant part of the salinized lands is situated in the continental Asia. These areas include the south of Western Siberia, part of the south of Eastern Siberia, including Zabaikalye and Yakutia, Kazakhstan, the republics of Central Asia and Caucasus, the central part of China, Mongolia, Turkey, Iran and India. In Yakutia the 27,7% of farmland territories consists of frozen salinized soils, mainly concentrated in the central part of Yakutia. Such problems as the distribution of natural salts in the soil profi...

NUMERICAL MODELLING OF RIVER SEA INTERACTION

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Aksel, M., Cokgor, S., Oztug, V.)

This study deal with numerical investigation of river sea interaction. River mouth modelling is one of the most complex problem in coastal engineering because of meteorological and oceanographic uncertainties. Although river-sea interaction has been complex problem, these areas have significant importance for human life such as dense population near this places, environmental importance, transportation etc. During the river?sea interaction numerical modelling just one defined or steady condition modelling is never...

THE STUDY OF THE LUNAR MACRO-FIGURE MODELS USING MULTI-PARAMETRIC HARMONIC ANALYSIS AND EXPANSION IN SPHERICAL FUNCTIONS

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Andreeva, Zoya Andreeva Zoya, Cola, M., Corbu, A.R., Vlaicu, P.A., Kozlowski, T.)

The present work is focusing on construction and analysis of 5 lunar models using space and ground observations. Firstly, it should be noted that the task of building a model of the lunar macro-figure relative to its center of mass and axes of inertia does not have a definitive solution yet. Within the present work the models of the lunar macro-figure are developed on the basis of space and ground observations. The methods of observation had implied binding of lunar objects to stars, i.e. celestial coordinate syst...

VINYL SHEET PILE APPLICATION IN SAKARYA RIVER, TURKEY A CASE STUDY

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Oztug, V., Keles, R., Cokgor, S., Pervane, M.)

In this paper, a case study of vinyl sheet pile application under the historical Sakarya Bridge on Sakarya River is studied. The main challenge of the project was the height of the application site. The design length of the piles were 10 m and the height of the bridge where the application was going to be made under; was 7,5 meters. In addition, gabions are present under the bridge ambutment and Provincal Authority of Historic Monuments expect no damage around the bridge. The soil of the site were well-degraded sa...
