THE INFLUENCE OF FALLOW MANAGEMENT ON SOIL AGGREGATE STABILITY

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Krivda, V., Petru, J., Kuda, F., Cieslak, I., Demin, S.)

In the years 2011-2016 the effect of different agronomy practices on changes in topsoil qualities of Chernozem was studied. Soil quality refers to the ability of soil aggregates to resist dispersion. Two soil tillage treatments were established ? disc tillage and fallow. The locality is situated in the Mikulov district in a maize-growing region at an altitude of 350 m. The average annual temperature and precipitation was 9.6 °C and 524 mm, respectively. Local soils were characterized as medium-heavy Chernozem on l...

COMPARISON OF SELECTED CAPACITY CALCULATIONS FOR ROUNDABOUTS

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Krivda, V., Petru, J.)

The paper deals with comparison of selected capacity calculations for roundabouts used in the Czech Republic. Some traffic engineers use the qualitative methods based on Germany methodology HBS, but some ones still use the quantitative methods for capacity assessment of roundabouts. The quantitative methods are based on the traffic volumes on entries and circulatory roadway of roundabout and they usually use an array of coefficients which represent next roundabout parameters. The qualitative methods are also based...

GREENHOUSE GAS RELEASE FROM BURIED SOIL IN THE LENA RIVER DELTA, SIBERIA: FIELD INCUBATION STUDY

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Petru, J., Krivda, V., Enache, F., JURCA, A., Rahmoune, E.)

A fundamental research question related to the impact of thawing permafrost on global change is, how fast organic matter in the thawing permafrost can be converted to CO2 and CH4 and released into the atmosphere. Current estimates on the degradability of thawing organic matter in permafrost are based on incubation studies which are highly artificial and probably overestimate the greenhouse gas production under in situ conditions. We aimed at identifying the microbial response and associated release of CO2 and CH4 ...

THE IMPACT OF THE POLLUTION BY ZINK ON THE ENZYMATIC ACTIVITY OF THE SOIL OF ARID ECOSYSTEMS IN THE SOUTH OF RUSSIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Kraus, Michal, Stefko, T., Wachter, I., Martinka, J., Rantuch, P.)

Arid ecosystems occupy large areas in the world and perform important ecological functions to maintain the biodiversity and stability of natural ecosystems. In this article, we present the results of the research on the change in the activity of catalase and dehydrogenases when the soils of the arid ecosystems of the Southern Russia are polluted by zinc: dark chestnut, chestnut, light chestnut, brown semidesert and sandy soil. Zinc was added to the soil in the amount of 300, 3,000 and 30,000 mg/kg (1, 10 and 100 m...

THE IMPACT OF MINING ACTIVITIES ON THE CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS OF TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF TRANSPORT

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Hudecek, L., Petru, J., Rezac, M., Krivda, V.)

The paper deals with the influence of mining works on the transport in the area mainly the structural layers of transport-related engineering structures elements as railways, roads, railway crossings and the overall transport system. Long-term underground coal mining is usually associated with environmental impacts in the Moravian-Silesian Region in the Czech Republic. There are two types of undermined areas in mentioned region: District of Ostrava where the mines were closed and the mining phenomena are considere...

ANALYSIS OF LEVEL CROSSINGS FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF THE DESIGN ELEMENTS OF THE ROADS

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Petru, J., Krivda, V.)

The paper deals with the analysis of the design elements of the road at the crossing point of the railway line. For the analysis were selected existing level crossings in the Czech Republic, where problems were found during the traffic. These were mainly problems of repeated disorder road pavement in contact with the construction of the level crossing. In addition, there are problems with the crossing of motor road transport or freight traffic. Particularly in the case of longer vehicles (heavy goods vehicles, pub...
