STUDY OF PVA/CMC SORBENT PROPERTIES

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-12-20, Alexandra Solovyeva, Ebrahim Mello Dargahi, Roman Olekhnovic, A. M. Kunakova, Valeriia Ibragimova)

This study is devoted to studying the properties of a new polymer sorbent based on polyvinyl alcohol and carboxymethylcellulose using infrared spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis. The influence of calcium chloride on the performance characteristics of the sorbent, such as oil capacity, floatation, moisture content and polymer degradation, is studied. The cross-linked matrix has improved properties: increasing the oil capacity and flotation time, retention of the structure when the sorbent is on the water s...

Fabrication of nanofibers is a field of research attracting a lot of interest from technologici scientists because of its great applications in many fields. In order to design the polymer drug delivery system, we had to select a polymer that is biocompatible, biodegradable, non-toxic and approved for medical use. One of the polymers that fulfill those requirements is poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA). There have been various reports on the fabrication of PVA nanofibers with solvents as water, or water with different salt...

ASSESSMENT OF INTEGRAL TOXICITY OF WATER RESOURCES BY INSTRUMENTAL METHODS OF ANALYSIS

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Vladimir Sibirtsev, Roman Olekhnovich, E.O. Samuylova)

The increase in the number of potentially toxic substances has led to a more complex task of determining the toxicity of water resources. This is due to an increase in the number of necessary techniques for the separation, identification and subsequent analysis of individual components. At the same time, the determination of quantitative relationships between individual components does not allow us to determine precisely whether these concentrations are sufficient to classify the water samples under study as toxic...
