CLIMATE ASSESSMENT AND RISK ANALYSIS IN WESTERN AND NORTHWESTERN ROMANIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2022-11-15, V. D. Mircov, Adalbert Okros, C. Mihuţ, Valeria Ciolac, Carmen Claudia Durău)

The study of meteorological-climatic phenomena, especially of extreme phenomena that have become more and more frequent, has gained greater significance, given the increasing awareness of the importance of preventing material damage. Thus, monitoring and analysis of atmospheric risk phenomena helps local and national authorities whose duty is to protect the population and property of any kind, and early warning regarding the occurrence of such phenomena is useful to each individual. The western and north-western p...

CONSERVATIVE TILLAGE SOIL SYSTEMS IN CONTEXT OF THE CLIMATE CHANGES

(STEF92 Technology, 2022-12-27, C. Mihuţ, A. D. Copcea, Adalbert Okros, Carmen Claudia Durău, Antoanela Cozma)

The research was carried out over 8 years and involves the performance of minimal works, by reducing the traffic with various agricultural machines and equipment, "Maschio" brand, namely: disc harrow, scarifier, roller and No Tillige seeder. I have carried out numerous researches and experiences in various agricultural holdings in Arad county, to the crop of wheat, corn and soybeans. The first tests were done on 129 ha, on soils with different textures, from fine to rough, but following the research, it was observ...

ELABORATION OF A FERTILIZATION PLAN: A CASE STUDY

(STEF92 Technology, 2022-12-27, Adalbert Okros, C. Mihuţ, A. D. Copcea, Carmen Claudia Durău, Codruța Chiș)

This study presents a fertilization plan in Zadareni, Arad County, Romania, on an area of 113 ha cultivated with soybean and maize. The identified soils were mostly chernozem (108 ha) and eutricambosol (5 ha). Twenty-three soil samples were collected and, based on the soil analyses performed in the laboratory and on the specific consumption by the plants as kg/ha active substance, a series of calculations were made regarding the need for fertilizers for the two crops. A fertilisation plan was then elaborated takin...

INFLUENCE OF CLIMATE INDICATORS AND RISK ASPECTS AT REPRESENTATIVE METEOROLOGICAL STATIONS IN THE WESTERN AREA OF ROMANIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2022-12-27, V. D. Mircov, C. Mihuţ, Adalbert Okros, Codruța Chiș, Carmen Claudia Durău)

The western area of Romania, like the entire country, due to its geographical position - in the temperate zone, is exposed to a wide range of risk weather and climate phenomena with the potential to occur throughout the year. The purpose of this work is to identify some indicators that most correctly express the extreme nature of the manifestations of some meteorological parameters and their characterization over a four-year period. The paper analyzes the main meteorological parameters from the profile stations in...

SOILS FROM TIROL AND MOLDOVA NOUA VINICULTURAL CENTRES

(STEF92 Technology, 2022-12-27, C. Mihuţ, Adalbert Okros, Lucian Dumitru Nita, V. D. Mircov, A. D. Copcea)

Research presented in this study aimed to identify the soils from two vineyards, Tirol and Moldova Noua, and to determine the physical and chemical properties of the soils there. Most of the vine plantations in the southern part of the vineyard are on soils that provide very good conditions for growth and development, especially for red wine vines. Preluvosoil, aluviosoil, districambosoil, and lithosol predominate the plateau. Following the research and analyses carried out, the following conclusions can be drawn:...

TYPOLOGY OF FAMILY TYPE AGRICULTURAL SYSTEMS: A CASE STUDY

(STEF92 Technology, 2022-12-27, Adalbert Okros, C. Mihuţ, A. D. Copcea, V. D. Mircov, D. Popa)

This study describes the typology of family agricultural systems from the western part of Romania. Fourteen family agricultural farms from Arad County, Romania, are taken in the study, whose areas range between 0.34 ha and 25 ha, with an average of about 22 ha. The main crops within these farms are grain maize, followed by wheat, oats, sunflower and rapeseed and, on smaller areas, fodder, vegetables and triticale. Because the structure of the crops is very diverse - the largest area is 12.60 ha and the smallest on...

INTENSIVE AGRICULTURE MANAGEMENT IN WINTER WHEAT AND MAIZE IN THE NORTH-WEST AREA OF THE BANAT REGION, ROMANIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Adalbert Okros)

The paper aims to highlight the economic efficiency of the intensive farming system for winter wheat and corn for the period 2014-2018 under the influence of different bio-pedo-climatic conditions. In order to practice a modern, intensive, high-precision and efficient agriculture, advanced technology is needed to make profit. Modern agriculture, and especially intensive agriculture, puts a price on the quality and quantity of the crops. At the same time, within this intensive farming system, the calculation of eco...

PRODUCTION EVOLUTION FOR THE MAIN AGRICULTURAL CROPS FROM THE CENTRAL BANAT AREA UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF THE MAIN PATHOGENS AND PEDOCLIMATIC CONDITIONS

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-11-20, Adalbert Okros)

On the present paper we want to highlight the evolution of the main crops in terms of cultivated areas and the yields obtained in the center of Banat [6] and also the harvest loses produced by endemic diseases for the most important crops. The area where we collect data was on the territory of Sagu, S?nandrei and Bucov?? settlements, all located in the center of the Western Planin of Romania. These diseases are endemic because they are produced by pathogens which are present in this region on the same crops each y...

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CLIMATIC EXTREMES FROM 2016-2017 IN THE WESTERN ROMANIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-11-20, Vlad Dragoslav Mircov, Cristian Nichita, Adalbert Okros, Alma Nicolin, Livia Luminita Barliba)

The data recorded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) have led to the cataloguing of the year 2016 as the warmest year on worldwide meteorological records. The two previous records listed were the years 2014 and 2015. Phenomena like El Nino and La Nina are responsible for the cooling or heating of the upper tropical zone of the Pacific Ocean. This causes variations in global wind patterns and weather, thus leading to short-term ...
