Although the buildings of the Universidad de Concepcion (UdeC) stood up well structurally to the effects of the 8.8 magnitude earthquake on 27 February 2010 in Concepcion, Chile, diverse damage was generated in their non-structural elements. Due to the large number of university buildings (over 100 on the Concepcion Campus alone) and the need to start classes on 5 April, numerous simultaneous repair projects were generated.
