CORRELATION BETWEEN ASH CONTENTS AND INTERCALATIONS OF BARREN ROCKS IN SELECTED DEPOSITS OF BITUMINOUS COAL - THE LUBLIN COAL BASIN CASE STUDY, POLAND

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Edyta Sermet, Angelika Musial, Martyna Paszek)

The characteristic thickness and type of intercalations is important when assessing the suitability of bituminous coal deposits for exploitation. The data on coal partings is of key importance due to a number of factors, including: the optimum selection of technological processes of exploitation, the quantity of resources, the quality of the coal output, the cost of production and processing of coal, and the variability of quality parameters of coal пїЅ in that case, the ash content in the examined seams is worth ...

GENTRIFICATION AND ADAPTATION OF THE POST-EXPLOITATION AREA - THE CRACOW REGION CASE STUDY (POLAND)

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Edyta Sermet, Angelika Musial, Jerzy Gorecki)

Economic gentrification means bringing more material value to a specific area by increasing its attractiveness and upgrading it. In the case of small deposits with permanently discontinued exploitation (only historical significance) and scarce resources, it is more socially and economically efficient to withdraw the deposits from the balance of mineral resources and enable changes in the management of the area. As a result, it is more possible to introduce different post mining deposit developments, such as using ...

RAMAN SPECTROSCOPIC CHARACTERIZATION OF CARBONACEUS MATERIAL FROM OUTER CARPATHIANS HYDROTHERMAL VEINS - IMPLICATION TO THE INTERPRETATION OF -MARMAROSH DIAMONDS- CRYSTALLIZATION ENVIRONMENT

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Angelika Musial, Beata Naglik, Edyta Sermet, Sara Mandera, Dominika Skrepnicka)

Carbonaceous material (CM) from Outer Carpathians hydrothermal veins was investigated by Raman spectroscopy in order to reveal thermal conditions of its alteration. The studied CM as being found in association with пїЅmarmarosh diamondsпїЅ confirms that the crystallization environment of this mysterious quartz variety is connected with thermally-influenced organic matter. Obtained temperatures in the range of 159 to 205пїЅC are indicative for low to medium hydrothermal conditions. Presented temperatures stay in qu...

RARE EARTH ELEMENTS IN THE ROCK SEQUENCE FROM LOWER TO MIDDLE DEVONIAN IN THE HOLY CROSS MOUNTAINS, POLAND

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Angelika Musial, Edyta Sermet, Marek Niec)

The Holy Cross Mountains is Paleozoic massif, 120 km long and 30 km wide is situated in the central part of Poland. It is built of Cambrian to Permian rock sequences and surrounded by Triassic to Cretaceous rocks. All over the massif Quaternary sediments form spotted cover. Paleozoic rocks are folded and dissected by transversal and longitudinal faults. The deposits, that occur between the siliciclastic Lower Devonian and Carbonate Middle Devonian sediments are interesting due to numerous ore mineralization sites....
