BIOCHAR ENHANCES ANTIBIOTIC-RESISTANT GENES REMOVAL FROM AQUEOUS ECOSYSTEMS

(STEF92 Technology, 2022-11-15, Natalia Danilova, Kamalya Karamova, Polina Galitskaya)

Pollution of aquatic ecosystems with antibiotic-resistant genes originating from human medicine and veterinary is an urgent problem due to the potential threaten to public health. Antibiotic-resistant genes enter surface waters and wastewater through vertical and horizontal water runoff. At the same time, heavy metals and biogenic substances often presented in aqueous ecosystems often exacerbate the problem since the drive the horizontal transfer of antibiotic-resistance genes. To solve the problem of purification...

COMPARISON OF METHODS OF DNA EXTRACTION FROM CRUDE OIL FOR THE FOLLOWING EXPLORING OF ITS BIODIVERSITY

(STEF92 Technology, 2022-11-15, Liliya Biktasheva, Darina Glazunova, Hassan Abdaljalil, Polina Galitskaya)

The anthropogenic influence on petroleum reservoirs during oil extraction leads to the emergence of new electron acceptors and donors and exogenous microorganisms. Microbial biodegradation of hydrocarbons in petroleum reservoirs leads to a change of its composition, resulting in a decrease in its cost. The identification of microorganisms capable of in-situ degradation of hydrocarbons under reservoir conditions is critical to understand the role of microbes in hydrocarbon conversion. To analyze microbial biodegrad...

ECOTOXICOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE GROUND SAMPLES OBTAINED FROM URBAN GREEN ZONES SITUATED IN KAZAN (RUSSIA)

(STEF92 Technology, 2022-11-15, Alina Kamalova, Alexander Gordeev, Polina Galitskaya, Svetlana Selivanovskaya)

Public gardens and park zones are an important and widely visited component of urban spaces worldwide, however they can be polluted and even dangerous for humans and animals visiting them. The simplest way to screen the level of pollution of those green zones is to assess their ecological toxicity. In the present study, to assess the ecotoxicity of soil and ground samples obtained in 15 parks and public gardens in the city of Kazan (Russia) with 1 Mio citizens were investigated. Two elutriate assays with Ceriodaph...

NEW MICROBIAL BIOPREPARATION FOR AGRICULTURE CONSISTING OF CONSORTIUM OF BIOSURFACTANT PRODUCERS

(STEF92 Technology, 2022-11-15, Gulnaz Galieva, Natalia Danilova, Svetlana Selivanovskaya, Polina Galitskaya)

The present work is an attempt to create a biosurfactant producing consortia on the bases of initial rhizospheric community of lettuce plant (Lactuca sativa). To obtain consortia, 47 strains from the rhizosphere were isolated and checked upon their ability to produce biosurfactants. The ability of the isolates to produce biosurfactants was analyzed on the basis of their ability to emulsify crude oil (E24 index). The isolates with the highest E24 were Bacillus. oryzaecorticis (80%), B. simplex (65%), Paenibacillus ...
