The Zechstein Main Dolomite (Ca2) is one of the largest petroleum bearing formations in Poland. Numerous hydrocarbon deposits occur within Ca2 in the carbonate platform sediments of the Polish part of the Southern Permian Basin. Application of modern methods allows evaluation of porosity and pore size distribution and enhances the proper characterization of reservoir rocks in non-invasive way.
