SOME ASPECTS REGARDING THE THERMAL WATER TEMPERATURE OF SOME SITES IN BAILE FELIX, GEOAGIU-BAI AND HARSOVA AREAS, ROMANIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Andrei-Emil Briciu)

The temperature of some surface and ground waters in Romania was measured during the 2015-2017 time interval at high temporal resolution in order to identify the main thermal properties and their oscillation. The water monitoring in B?ile Felix area was undertaken at Fp3 water well and Ochiul Mare Lake. The measuring sites in Geoagiu-B?i area are represented by water pumped from F3 water well and a thermal spring in Cibului Gorge. The outflowing groundwater from 2 water wells was measured in HпїЅr?ova area. In ord...

STUDY OF SURFACE WATER RESOURCES AVAILABILITY FOR IRRIGATION ARRANGEMENTS. CASE STUDY: BEGA RIVER, TIMIS COUNTY, ROMANIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Adrian-Lucian Cococeanu)

The paper aims to present the possibility of using surface water resource for irrigation in local arrangements in the West Plain of Romania. Irrigation is among the biggest consumers of freshwater worldwide and water demands for irrigation in Bega River basin are continuously increasing. On Bega River course, along with flood defense works, in the 1960 were also arranged water catchments with the role of using water in agriculture, even though most of arable land were arranged for drainage. To ensure the needed fl...

THE INFLUENCE OF HYDRODYNAMIC CAVITATION ON CLEANING OF HOLLOW FIBER MEMBRANES USED FOR ULTRAFILTRATION

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-11-20, Adrian Ciocanea)

Two identical hollow fibre membranes used for ultrafiltration as prefiltration stage of water drinking treatment were tested for assessing the efficiency of cleaning, by using hydrodynamic cavitation. Each membrane with outside-in permeate flow direction, and the same molecular weight cut-off (0.097 m) was placed vertically inside glass cylinders. One hollow fiber membrane was subjected tohydrodynamic cavitation and cavitation during backlfushing. For the other membrane no treatment was provided for comparison rea...

THE SIMULATION OF THE RAINFALL - RUNOFF IN REPRESENTATIVE HYDROGRAPHICAL BASIN

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Badaluta-Minda Codruta, Andreea-Mihaela Dunca)

In recent years the small hydrographical basins were affected by numerous extreme hydrological events. Genesis of floods from these hydrographical basins is linked primarily by climatic conditions and other factors such as: geology, soil by its temperature and its humidity, vegetation, topography trough slopes, shape and surface of the hydrographical basin, which influence the concentration time and water volume. Mike She model is able to simulate the entire stream flow. This paper is using Mike She Model for runo...

THE WATER RESOURCE MONITORING THROUGH THE NETWORK OF HYDROMETRIC STATIONS FROM THE BANAT REGION (ROMANIA)

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Andreea-Mihaela Dunca, Codruta Badaluta-Minda)

The river monitoring activity from the territory of the Banat hydrographic space which is situated in south-western part of Romania started in the 19th century, when the achievement of drainage works were started, of great amplitude, in the subsidence area of the Western Field, where there several swamps and frequent floods took place, and when several hydrotechnical works were performed, based on studies and projects, for which several observations and hydrological measurement where necessary. The occurrence of t...

FLOOD RISK FOR THREE FLOOD DEFENSE WORKS: DIKES, DAMS AND RIPARIAN WETLANDS

(Stef92 Technology, 2011-06-20, Codruta Minda Badaluta)

This paperwork makes an assessment of risk failure in defense works against flood located along and perpendicular on rivers , including natural riparian wetlands. Highlighting these areas allow us to ma ke complex studies about the different possibilities of flood mitigation, considering the surfaces and lowering the flood risk. Explanations about the “hazard - risk” scheme are made, with flood analyses in many case studies to propose a computation mode l for risk and management assessment accordingly with the...

UTILIZATION OF SPI, PDSI AND RDI AS DROUGHT INDICATORS IN SOUTH BULGARIA

(Stef92 Technology, 2011-06-20, Vesselin Alexandrov)

During the last decades an increase of the number of extreme natural events has been observed all over the world. Drought in Southeastern Europe is among the extreme events, which might have significant negativ e impacts on the socio-economic sectors. Drought in Bulgaria has been in details studied by many researchers, but being a problem of vital importance, is continuously considered with enhanced attention. 50- years time series of precipitation, collected from 20 weather stations located at the Maritsa and Tun...

EFFICIENTLY SYSTEM MANAGEMENT FOR PURIFYING POLLUTED WATER INTO AN INDUSTRIAL PLANT

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2010, ST. Dragomir, G. Dragomir, M. Trandafir, E. Necsulescu, C.-E. Tureac, C.-M. Dragomir)

Water quality is one of the most important element for life support and contribute at the sustainable develop of human society. Following the technical and economic transformations taking place in industry, waste water remediation system required new approaches to management in this area. It recorded an increase in the variety and complexity of the types and quantities of waste generated in the last years and for administrated this situation are necessary new methods and equipments of waste neutralisation or trans...
