A CONTAMINATION SOURCE IN S. SLOVAKIAN KARST AND THE PROPOSAL OF A GIS BASED MONITORING SYSTEM

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2001, L.Tometz, G. M. Timcak, P. Blistan)

The paper elaborates the risks of underground water contamination in the Slovakian Karst. First the geology of the area is given, then the hydrogeologic background is detailed. A number of measurements were taken in the vicinity of a crude oil pipeline that indicate the high risks of having the pipeline there. Lack of in-built monitoring system in the pipeline may increase the risk. Finally a GIS based monitoring system is proposed.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY FOR STORING, PROCESSING AND USING OF THE GEOLOGICAL INFORMATION

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2001, Valeri Trendafilov)

The geological information in Bulgaria is state property or co-property of the state and holder of license for prospecting and/or exploration or of the concession for exploitation of underground resources. Upon termination of the license or the concession the entire information becomes property of the state. The National Geofund of the Ministry of Environment and Water is responsible for collecting and storing all geological data in Bulgaria. Part of the data is published. The National Geofund is in charge of disc...

MONITORING AND CONTROL OF MINE TRANSPORT USING GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM (GPS) NAVSTAR

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2001, Stilian Stankov)

Feeding of flotation factory with material of constant concentration leads to increasing of extract ratio and sparing flotation reagents. In the article the task of optimal concentration is solved accordingly to composite target function, including subcriterias for equal, maximal and proportional load of excavators and criteria for maximal flow of ore. The function includes priorities of excavators, entered by dispatcher. Optimum of the function is located using method of multipliers of Lagrange. Method is realize...

NEW APPROACHES TO MINING PHOTOGRAMMETRY USING PC

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2001, Lacezar Licev)

This contribution engages in mining photogrammetry as a relatively new branch of photogrammetry. It describes a system, which is divided into two modules. The first one is used to describe single objects on a snap, the second one performs a synthesis of all the snaps. New expansion of this branch is made by solving photogrammetric problems on computers. The photogrammetric system FOTOM was used to solve a particular task in mining photogrammetry. The system is an integral system on a qualitatively better level the...

NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN GEOLOGY AND ENGINEER-GEOLOGY PROCESSING IN MINE PRODUCING

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2001, George Siarov)

Here enclosed article is based on a modern geology and engineer-geology assuring the proceeding of mine industry by defining new requirements and other technological tasks, too. Here it is some demonstrative order of all that: Creating strata geological Data Base of objects - hierarchically ordered; Computerized document of bore-holes; Generating dimensional model of geological objects; Defining geologic supplies; Managing and analyzing stability condition of every damaged massif; Building the foundations of strat...

NEW VERSION OF ARCVIEW BASED ENVIRONMENTAL GIS OF THE HORNARD RIVER BASIN

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2001, G. M. Timcak, E. Orlitova, J. Jablonska, D. Dugacek)

The Hornad river is a tributary of Tisa. It flows through Slovakia and Hungary. The environmental data on the Hornad river that were collected within the RECENT, DECENT and SOSNA projects since 1995, were embedded into a number of databases and simple GIS systems. Recently, the data were integrated into the new EnviGIS system created as a project within the ArcView environment. The EnviGIS - apart from digital maps contains databases of water and environmental quality data plus data on selected waste deposits alon...
