The objective of the paper is to develop a methodology for arable land planning, taking into account the modern trends in agricultural machinery technologies and the contemporary environmental requirements for soil cultivation. It was found that design standards for arable land can be developed in the direction of: plot area up to 150 ha; working stroke over 1200 m; and aspect ratio up to 11. The study was based on two groups of spatial planning projects: two projects according to the existing design standards for...

PLANNING OPTIONS FOR SUSTAINABLE LAND USE IN ACCORDANCE WITH MODERN AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-09-20, Milena Moteva, Margarita Mondeshka, G. Kostadinov)

The idea of sustainable land use constantly develops. The technical level of agricultural machinery is constantly improving. The latter is a part of modern technology in agriculture that has an impact on soil fertility and land quality. Soil quality depends on the integrated impact of topography, land use method, and the agricultural practices applied. The wind and water erosion and the other soil degradation processes caused by man's physical interference are due to the chaotic land use and improper dispositionin...
