This paper deals with disinfection of drinking water at ?Aquatim S.A?. The disinfection plant is part of an investment plan to provide conformation with the Romanian Law 485/2002 concerning drinking water quality and European Union Water Frame Directive. The new facility employs modern techniques of storage, dosage, injection and neutralization of chlorine. In over 38 percent of the groundwater drinking water sources in Slovakia, iron and manganese concentrations exceed the recommended levels set by Regulation of the Government of the Slovak Republic No. 354/2006 on Drinking Water.
