CERATOPHYLLUM DEMERSUM - RISKS OF INVASIVENESS IN CONNECTION WITH CHANGES IN THE CLIMATE AND IN THE QUALITY OF THE ENVIRONMENT

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Barbara Stalmachova, Emilie Pecharova, Alena Kasparkova)

The abundances of invasive plant species in the vegetation have negative impacts on the integrity, structure and function of autochthonous ecosystems. Invasive species act as stressors for plant communities and change their species compositions. In the Czech Republic, Ceratophyllum demersum is a species that may represent a risk of invasiveness, particularly in shallow types of water bodies. It is autochthonous is all continents, but it is primarily centred into warmer parts of the mild climate of the northern hem...

THE RISK OF SPREAD OF INVASIVE PLANT SPECIES IN THE FLOODPLAIN OF THE OSTRAVICE RIVER (CZECH REPUBLIC)

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Barbara Stalmachova, Emilie Pecharova, Alena Kasparkova)

The abundance of invasive plant species in the riverbank vegetation negatively affects the integrity, structure and function of the natural ecosystems. Invasive plant species are stressors for plant communities and they change their species compositions. This leads to species deprivation and homogenised regional flora. The Czech legislation defines invasive organisms as harmful organisms that are allochthones for a locality, which having been introduced into the locality are able to negatively influence plants or ...

BIO-PROCESSING OF SOIL FROM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT IN OSTRAVA

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2010, P. Fecko, A. Kasparkova, E. Pertile, I. Janakova, E. Kulova, R. Michniak)

The paper deals with an examination of possible application of biodegradation in the decontamination of soil samples from international airport in Ostrava. The laboratory biodegradation tests were carried out with a pure bacterial culture of Pseudomonas putida, a pure laboratory culture of Rhodococcus sp, their mixture and a mixture prepared combining their media free of bacteria. The results of the paper imply that for biodegradation of airport pollutants is most suitable to apply a mixed bacterial culture of Pse...

FLOTATION OF COAL FROM MINE STASZICZ

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2010, P. Fecko, I. Janakova, A. Kasparkova, B. Tora)

The goal of the work was verification of floatabilty of bituminous coal from mine Staszicz with different collectors (Flotalex and Montanol), which are generally used in coal cleaning plants in Czech Republic and Poland. From the flotation and petrological results follows that floatability of given coal is approximately equal at Flotalex and Montanol application.
