A comparative analysis of large-scale soil maps and cartographic materials of precision farming systems is carried out. Soil maps are created by traditional methods based on ground-based surveys, desk-based decryption of topographic maps and remote sensing materials. Cartographic materials of precision farming systems are represented by maps of stable intra-field heterogeneity of soil fertility.
