INFLUENCE OF DIFFUSION FROM OIL RESERVOIRS TO CLAY MINERALS IN BASHKIRIAN OIL-SATURATED CARBONATE ROCKS

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, A. N. Kolchugin)

Oil deposits in Bashkirian strata regionally oil-saturated, within the Volga-Ural oil and gas bearing province. They contain up to 30% of hydrocarbon reserves. Bashkirian strata are represented by carbonate complexes of various lithological type. Only packstone and grainstone have properties of oil-saturated reservoirs, mudstone and wackestone are dense rocks. A characteristic feature of the Bashkirian carbonates is the wide presence of stylolites filled by greenish-gray clay minerals. It is known, that hydrocarbo...

SOME FEATURES OF THE OIL-SATURATED DOLOMITE RESERVOIRS FROM THE LOWER MISSISSIPPIAN OF THE VOLGA-URAL BASIN, RUSSIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, A. N. Kolchugin)

The dolomite problem is very popular among geologists, who are especially working with oil-saturated carbonate rocks. Probably, this is the most common type of diagenetic transformation of limestone. However, the problem of secondary dolomitization is still insufficiently discussed, as a process associated with oil migration and oil-charge. The main purpose of this study is the geological reconstruction of diagenetic changes for the Tournaisian and Visean dolomites based on the application of data from cathodolumi...

DEPOSITIONAL ENVIRONMENTS AND DIAGENESIS OF DEVONIAN BLACK SHALES (CASE STUDY VOLGA-URAL REGION, RUSSIA)

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, A. N. Kolchugin)

The objects of research were carbonate-siliceous rocks of Semiluk and Mendym horizons of Upper Devonian formations from Volga-Ural region, Russian Federation. The main purpose of studying was a comprehensive investigations Devonian black shale and an assessment of their resource potential as objects of future exploitation for oil (unconventional shale oil formations). It was shown that the Upper Devonian black shales and their analogues have widespread on the territory of the eastern part of the Russian platform. ...

SIGNS OF PALEOSOL FORMATION IN BASHKIRIAN CARBONATE ROCKS OF VOLGA-URAL REGION

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, A. N. Kolchugin)

Fragments of ferruginous brecciated limestones were studied in Bashkirian geological cross-sections in central part of Volga-Ural sedimentary basin. It is established that ferruginization of carbonate rocks is not controlled by facies. Mudstones, stromatolite boundstones and foraminiferal packstones have traces of diagenetic ferruginization. All carbonates are characterized by leaching traces in the form of sub vertical and inclined fractures and big pores filled by fine-grained calcite. Clasts of ferruginization ...
