CHARACTERIZATION OF AIRBORNE MICROPLASTIC PARTICLES COLLECTED FROM THE TEXTILE WORKPLACES ENVIRONMENT

(STEF92 Technology, 2025-08-15, Marian Cătălin Grosu, Emilia Visileanu, Paul‐Tiberiu Miclea, Adrian Săliștean, Felicia Dondea)

A global challenge of our nowadays life is dealing with micro- and nano-plastic particles (MNPs), due to wide spreading all around us, persistence over the years, and toxic character, contributing to adverse effects on human health. As one of the biggest polluters worldwide, the textile industry including mechanical and chemical processes of fibers and garments generates various contaminants in the indoor air, including -white pollutants- with micro-nano plastic particles MNPs. This paper presents some methods for...

THE DURABILITY OF THE CAMOUFLAGE FUNCTION OF COMBATANT

(STEF92 Technology, 2025-08-15, Emilia Visileanu, Elena Perdums, Laurențiu Dinca, Adrian Săliștean, Marian Cătălin Grosu, SILVIA ALBICI)

An AI camouflage design was used to create an IR camouflage textile structure, utilising Grafco screen printing inks and Chromatex HD10 pigments characterised by high brightness and colour resistance. For vector image editing, CorelDRAW software was employed. The screen-printing process was carried out following these steps: frame selection, screen selection, and image preparation. The reflection index was determined using a spectrophotometric method with a UV-VIS-NIR Perkin Elmer Lambda 950 spectrophotometer, mea...

LOW COST AIRDROP DELIVERY SYSTEM

(STEF92 Technology, 2024-11-01, Adrian Săliștean)

The article describes the design process for a low-cost aerial delivery system (LCADS) that is a one-time use, disposable, airdrop system consisting of cargo parachute and container. The parachute systems is developed for military resupply missions and for humanitarian relief efforts in areas where ground supply and/or recovery of airdrop equipment is difficult or not feasible. LCADS consists primarily of three types of cargo parachutes capable of supporting and delivering in a wide range of weights, from 70kg up ...

CONCEPT OF AUTONOMOUS TEXTILE FOIL KITE - WIND ENERGY GENERATOR

(STEF92 Technology, 2023-10-01, Adrian Săliștean, Constantin Jomir)

This paper presents the starting phase of a research project that aims to develop the technological demonstrator of a wind power generator system using a wind sail to capture the high altitude wind energy. The sail will capture the wind energy and will be raised to an altitude of minimum 100-200 meters to capture the stronger and more constant winds at this altitude. Flight attitude control will be done via an active control hub named WCU (Wing Control Unit) attached to the cable at about 10m from the sail. The gr...

ULTRALIGHT PARAGLIDER UAS FOR EMERGENCY RESPONSE AND REMOTE SENSING

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Adrian Săliștean)

This paper depicts the early phase of development for an integrated system tailored for emergency response actions and remote sensing. This paper focuses on the support system envisioned as an integrated Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) system that consists of one or more ultralight multifunctional aerial units with a configuration that can be adapted to the nature of the intervention: monitoring, mapping, observation and logistics etc. Starting from wing airfoil and material selection and ending with the experimental...
