The deep processing of lignocellulose feedstock (including waste from the woodworking industry, agriculture, and agro-industry) allowing the high-added value products to be obtained is one of the key scientific problems. Lignocellulose biomass is a potential feedstock for the production of heat, electricity, fuel, chemicals, and other bioderived products. The liquefaction is considered to be one of the most promising ways to convert lignocellulose biomass into liquid fuels. During the liquefaction, lignocellulose ...

At the present stage of development of the biotechnological industry, the most promising objects are enzymes of the oxidoreductase class, which are capable of catalyzing redox processes. One of the most studied enzymes of this class is horseradish root peroxidase. Its immobilization on various carriers allows the biocatalyst to be reused in various technological processes. In recent years, magnetic nanoparticles have been increasingly used as effective carriers of enzymes. In this work, we study the oxidation of 2,...

BIO-OIL UPGRADING OVER HYDROTHERMAL CATALYSTS

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, E. I. Shimanskaya)

To improve the fuel characteristics, bio-oil is preceded to modernization which mainly includes hydrotreatment. This work is devoted to the study of the conversion of anisole, as one of the lignin monomers, in the presence of catalysts synthesized by the hydrothermal method. Platinum and palladium catalyst deposited on the polymer matrix of hypercrosslinked polystyrene allowed achieving about 90% of anisole conversion. It was shown that during the conversion of anisole, cyclohexane, methylcyclohexane, and phenol a...
