Given an example watershed, calculation of the long-term average annual soil loss by the universal soil loss equation (USLE) is analyzed taking into amount the Slovak and Polish approaches. Six factors are considered the rainfall erosivity factor (R), the soil erodibility factor (K), the topographic factors (LS) and the cropping management factors (C and P).
