LIVESTOCK - TRADITION, DEDICATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Mihai Dinu)

Animals have always accompanied man in specific activities, but also have provided the food supply through products of the livestock and food industries. Nutritionists remind us that we need meat, milk and eggs, as main products of livestock. Nowadays, the livestock sector is modernly equipped and it is coordinated by IT programs, which is why production can be anticipated, including risks. At the same time, modernity does not exclude the specificity of the place where livestock is concerned, to which the farmer i...

THE ECONOMIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF PLANT RESOURCES IN ROMANIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Mihai Dinu)

Plant biodiversity is important in economic terms in Romania, as well as for the ecosystem aspect maintaining and giving spiritual value and comfort. As a result, the article aims to focus attention on the appreciation of plant species in the center of an inexhaustible source of renewable energy. Agricultural holdings in Romania mainly cultivate cereals, some with records in production (for example maize production in 2018). Cereals are well known for their food potential and animal feed. At the same time, after h...

HYDROGEOLOGICAL STUDY IN THE SECTION COCU, ROMANIA

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2007, I. Dinu, C. Rotar, M. Stoica, T. Moldoveanu)

The long-going petroleum exploitation in the Section Cocu determined the increase of chloride concentrations in groundwater. The aquifer system in this area comprises four aquifers, with different extensions, separated by semipervious units. The third and the fourth aquifer are more extended. The third aquifer is in direct relationship with potential pollution sources, such as oil wells and oil pipelines and it is drained by the River Cotmeana. Several monitoring wells were drilled for the purpose of this study, p...

STUDY FOR IDENTIFYING APPROPRIATE SOLUTIONS FOR REHABILITATION IN THE ZONE OF THE LAKE SNAGOV, ROMANIA

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2005, I. Dinu)

An accidental pollution by hydrocarbon occurred in the zone of the Lake Snagov, about 30 km North of Bucharest. As a consequence, five study wells were made for the purpose of this study, covering the zone possibly affected by pollution. Pumping test were carried out, providing the order of magnitude for the hydraulic conductivity of the aquifer. Calibration of a 3D groundwater flow numerical model was made both in natural and pumping conditions. Several variants for placing new wells were studied. Based on the fl...
