This work is about paleogeographic reconstructions on the basis of mineralogical and geochemical studies. Vanavar, Oskobinsk and Sobinsk formations of the Vendian age (Ilbokichskoe deposit in Eastern Siberia) were studied. The complex of research included data of XRD and ICP-MS. According to the obtained results, the mineralogical composition of the sediments was refined. Quartz, carbonate minerals, represented by magnesite, dolomite, calcite and siderite, and sulfates ? gypsum, barite, anhydrite are noted among t...

MINERALOGICAL AND GEOCHEMICAL FEATURES OF SENONIAN SEDIMENTS OF MEDVEZHYE GAS FIELD (WESTERN SIBERIA)

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Igor Afonin)

Medvezhye gas field is the oldest known one in Western Siberia and unique because of its values. At the present time most of Cenomanian deposits are exhausted. Senonian sediments, which are such nontraditional reservoirs as clayey opokas, opoka-like clays and opokas, are considered as a source of resource potential compensation. Objects of the study are 34 core samples taken from two drill holes and belonging to the lower part of Berezovskaya suite. Geochemical and mineralogical features of the rocks were studied ...
