SEISMICITY ASSOCIATED TO THE INTRAMOESIAN FAULT: INFERENCES FROM REGIONAL TECTONICS AND GEODYNAMICS

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Irina Stanciu)

The study is based on seismicity data analysis, using seismological data available from published local, regional and global earthquakes catalogues. Seismicity data for Romania, Bulgaria and the Western Black Sea have been compiled into a unique data-base and represented within a georeferenced framework. A large number of seismicity maps at various depths and depth intervals, as well as W-E, N-S and NE-SW in-depth seismicity graphs have been built. The regional structure of interest is the Intramoesian Fault (IMF)...

REGIONAL ACTIVE FAULTS AS INTERPRETED ON CRUSTAL SEISMICITY, GRAVITY AND MAGNETIC DATA ACROSS THE MOESIAN PLATFORM AND THE NORTH DOBROGEAN OROGEN

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Irina Stanciu)

The tectonic interpretation of crustal seismicity data have been recently performed for the central part of the Moesian Platform, having as main target the in-depth development of the Intramoesian Fault[1]. Seismological data for Romania, Bulgaria and the western Black Sea, compiled from published local, regional and global earthquake catalogues and merged into a database, were used to analyze the crustal seismicity (0?40 km) on multiple N-S trending sections across the North Dobrogean Orogen and the eastern part ...
