COMPARISON OF DAYLIGHTING IN MULTI-STOREY BUILDING ACROSS EUROPE

(STEF92 Technology, 2022-12-27, Iveta Skotnicová, Vojtech Kolarcik, Ondrej Fadrny)

This article compares daylighting in administrative building located in different climatic zones - Sweden, Czech Republic and Greece. Theese locations were chosen to best demonstrate the different lighting conditions across Europe. One room was selected and modelled, for which the daylighting in each country was then simulated and calculated. The values of the daylight factor were observed for simultaneous identical changes in window geometry and wall reflectance in all cases. Depending on the changes in window ge...

EXPERIMENTAL MEASUREMENTS OF GROUND TEMPERATURE PROFILE BELOW PASSIVE BUILDING

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-12-05, Iveta Skotnicová)

The assessment of underground behaviour below buildings will become more and more relevant because of increasing awareness to energy efficiency and renewable energy topics. Real information on ground temperatures is important for many thermal calculations, which include, among others, the calculation of heat losses of buildings to the ground or the design of subsoil heat exchanger. This paper presents the results of six-year period in situ experiment designed to monitor the ground temperature profile below a passi...

ASSESSING DAYLIGHT IN DIFFICULT TO ILLUMINATE SPACES

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Iveta Skotnicová)

Building is constantly heading for the development of new technologies, better materials and reduction of energy consumption, however daylighting remains an essential factor that considerably affects the interior of buildings and it cannot be technologically improved or replaced. The total quality of the indoor environment is crucial to humans. Daylight is important not only from a psychological and health point of view, but also from the point of health standards. People who are forced to work in workplaces witho...
