EVALUATION OF THE PROPERTIES OF YOGURT ENRICHED WITH CRUDE POLYSACCHARIDES OBTAINED FROM DIFFERENT MUSHROOMS

(STEF92 Technology, 2024-11-01, Oana Maria Popa, Ovidiu Tiţa)

With the development of food production technologies, the consumers attention has turned to products with specific nutritional and health-promoting properties. For this necessity, today's manufacturers have turned their attention to fortified foods, and a raw material that is found in great diversity and that can be used to enrich food is represented by mushrooms. The purpose of this study consists in determining how the addition of different concentrations of crued polysaccharides extracted from mushrooms and add...

IMPLEMENTATION OF PROCEDURES, PRINCIPLES AND OBJECTIVES IN AN ENTERPRISE TO INCREASE PRODUCTION AND ELIMINATE FOOD WASTE

(STEF92 Technology, 2022-11-15, Ovidiu Tiţa, Oana Maria Popa, Claudia Nicoleta Sas, Mihaela Adriana Tița, Tiberius-Ilie Oprita)

Food waste is a growing global concern, with the attention of major global organizations focusing on monitoring and finding solutions to optimize it. According to the latest data published by the National Institute of Public Health on this topic (2019), in Romania, food waste is estimated at 6,000 tons per day 49% from households, 37% from the food industry, 7% from retail, 5 % of public catering and 2% of the agricultural sector. In this context, it was proposed to implement a system based on reducing waste and w...

A STUDY ON FACTORS AFFECTING THE INTENTION TO USE SMART METERS. EVIDENCE FROM ROMANIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2021-12-20, Andreea Barbu, Gheorghe Militaru, Mirona Ana Maria Popescu, Iustina-Cristina Costea- Marcu, Mihaela Ganciu)

This paper presents an exploratory study that analysis the factors that influence the intention to use smart meters that measure electricity consumption. The authors used the technology acceptance model as a starting point for their research, taking into consideration other eight external variables: social influence, familiarity with smart meter technology, task-technology fit, compatibility, the level of trust in companies that supply electricity, price awareness, energy conservation intentions, and perception of...

SEISMICITY IN BULGARIA AND SURROUNDINGS IN THE FIRST 20 YEARS OF THE TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY

(STEF92 Technology, 2021-12-20, Maria Popova, Dragomir Dragomirov, Emil Oynakov, Valentin Buchakchiev, Yordan Milkov)

An earthquake catalogue covering the seismicity on the territory of Bulgaria and adjacent lands for the period 2000-2020 is presented in the current study. In this catalogue are included events with magnitude equal to or larger than Mw ? 2.5. As a country, Bulgaria belongs to the Alpo-Hymalian seismic belt, it is also not absent of strong earthquakes. Bulgaria is an earthquake prone country taking in account that on its territory are recorded some of the strongest earthquakes from the beginning of the last century...

JOINT CONFIGURATION OF COMPOSITE STRUCTURES

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Maria Pop, Anca Popa, Cristina Campian, Kiss Zoltan)

Multi Storied structures are used worldwide and have outstanding advantages in the use of composite materials in structural application. This study heads to an experimental study to reproduce the behavior on a composite joint configuration. Due to the lack of knowledge, during the last few years a lot of studies are based on the semi-rigid composite joints that can provide useful data about the behavior and the resistance of these connections. A number of two tests were performed to obtain a better development of ...

SEISMIC RETROFITING OF AN EXISTING STEEL STRUCTURE

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Cristina Campian, Maria Pop, Corneliu Cismasiu, Josza Timea, Anca Popa)

The primary aim of earthquake resistant design is to prevent building collapse during the seismic event, but severe earthquakes have a low probability of occurrence during the life time of the structure, therefore in contrast to traditional structural design in earthquake design, structures are permitted to work in post-elastic domain under seismic load. It would require a large lateral stiffness of the structure and an expensive resisting system to design the building to have an elastic response. Because of these...
