ASSESSMENT OF STATUS OF THE SELECTED STRUCTURES AFTER FLOOD

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Michaela Kostelecká)

The article deals with the evaluation of the extent and causes of damage of three selected buildings in Spolana Neratovice a.s. The buildings were affected by the flood in June 2013. Specifically, it is a reservoir, a base under the production line and an ammonium sulphate storage. The reservoir is used to catch any drips and chemical containers. The ground dimension of the reservoir is approx. 26 x 40 m. Due to the flood, the reinforced layer of the coating was damaged and thus the leakage was lost, which depreci...

DETERMINATION OF FIBER-CEMENT PANELS DEGRADATION BY A SOAKING-DRYING TEST

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Michaela Kostelecká)

The article deals with setting of the degradation of fibre-cement panels containing polyvinyl-alcohol (PVA) fibres. The degradation is being studied with a help of a soaking ? drying test. It is a long-time test, which is one of the series of tests (hot water test, frost resistance test, shrinking of panels, UV test), by which the degradation of panels is determined. The motivation for carrying out this test lies in searching for a substitute of asbestos-cement panels that cannot be used due to carcinogenic asbest...

APPLICATION OF THE CONFOCAL SCANNING MICROSCOPE LEXT OLS3000 FOR SETTING THE POROSITY OF MATERIALS

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Michaela Kostelecká)

Porosity belongs to basic characteristics of building materials. It is a characteristic of solid or semi-rigid materials, which contain a lot of tiny and uniformly distributed cavities or holes of various shape and origin. Porosity decreases specific weight of materials, increases their insulation and other characteristics ? for example absorbability. It is defined as a ratio of pores volume in a specific amount of solid and the total volume of this amount. In the article the use of the modern confocal scanning mi...
