ECOLOGICAL IMPACT ON WELDING REHABILITATION OF CASTINGS

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Oana Roxana Chivu)

As it is well known, casting is a semi-fabrication process with a wide spread in many industrial sectors, especially in the automotive industry. In some cases, castings either have to be rehabilitated before obtaining the finished part, or in some cases some finite parts that are more stressed, after a certain number of hours of operation in a subassembly, will present an advanced wear condition, which will make the further operation of the respectively assembly impossible, this requiring the reconditioning again....

ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION IN THE CASE OF METAL ALLOY CASTING

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Oana Roxana Chivu)

Along with welding, the casting of metal alloys is a primary production process, with great spread in the industry, especially in the machine building industry. By casting, a series of semi-fabricated products are obtained, from which, subsequently, by metal grinding processes finite parts are obtained such as straight and cranked shafts, belt wheels, gears, various casings, motor blocks for internal combustion engines and others. There are many casting processes used on an industrial scale such as: casting in tem...

CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE ULTRASOUND FIELD INFLUENCE ON CHEMICAL COMPOSITION CHANGE IN THE REWORKING PROCESS BY ULTRASONIC WELDING

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Gheorghe Amza, Valentin Dan Petrescu, Dan Florin Nitoi, Agustin Semenescu, Oana Roxana Chivu)

The paper presents experimental results obtained in determining the chemical composition of the base material- heat affected zone пїЅ filler material in reworking by ultrasonic welding field. The work shows the curve of the concentration of carbon, nickel, chromium, molybdenum, iron, tungsten, silicon and cobalt in the resulted material couple. There are presented differences between reworking in ultrasonic field and common welding process. The analysis of the results obtained and presented in the paper shows the ...
