The Sredogriv low-grade metamorphic rocks belongs to the Montana unit of the Western Balkan Zone in northwestern Bulgaria. The low-grade rocks mainly consist of metamorphosed greenschist facies clastic-marly-tuffaceous precursors and minor basic to acidic, presumably olistostromic magmatic rock bodies.
