CHEMICAL BONDS ON THE IMPACT OF THE SPLITTING PROCESS IN A THERMAL MACHINE (ENGINE)

(STEF92 Technology, 2021-12-20, Piotr Kardasz)

In the literature, the quantities describing the physicochemical parameters describing the combustion processes are: calorific value, cetane number LC, auto-ignition temperature, solidification point, viscosity and surface tension, and heat of vaporization. This article shows that another parameter influencing the combustion process in a thermodynamic engine, which is an engine, is also influenced by chemical bonds between atoms. Selected 11 alcohols differing in the number of chemical bonds between carbon atoms (...

INFLUENCE OF SELECTED PARAMETERS ON THE OPERATION OF AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

(STEF92 Technology, 2021-12-20, Piotr Kardasz)

Nowadays, in the literature we come across the notion that selected physico-chemical parameters have an influence on diesel engine operation and are included in the European standard PN- 590. Fuels meeting the standard for diesel engine are complex substances, which do not consist of simple hydrocarbons, but very complex, extended aromatic hydrocarbons. This paper presents proposals for the use of simple chemical compounds such as alcohols as diesel engine fuels. It has been demonstrated that selected alcohols can...

THE INFLUENCE OF ADDITIVE TO THE FUEL CONSUMPTION

(STEF92 Technology, 2021-12-20, Piotr Kardasz)

The reduction of fuel consumption in the engine was experimentally investigated in cogeneration system with the participation of 1:4000 vol. CeO2 concentrate (Bluediesel): diesel fuel. CeO2 concentrate purifies combustion chamber and after burns hydrocarbons which in turn affects lowering the fuel consumption. This work was carried out with the engine load at the level of 0-4000W and it shows that in the presence of the Bluediesel concentrate, fuel consumption is 5-7 wt. % lower than in case of diesel oil consumpt...

THE USE OF NEW MIXTURES TO POWER DIESEL ENGINES

(STEF92 Technology, 2021-12-20, Piotr Kardasz)

Current sources of energy used to power motor vehicles are fuels produced on the basis of crude oil (gasoline, diesel oil). In the near future, these fuels must be replaced with other substances with similar properties that enable them to power the engines of motor vehicles. The amount of conventional fuels is limited and with the ever-growing demand for this raw material, implying, among others, price increase, it is necessary to look for alternative fuels - for traditional mixtures. According to the assumptions ...
