Packaging waste from the industry containing significant amounts of silicon and aluminum were used in synthesis of zeolites. Derived structures ware mostly A (LTA) and X from (FAU) frameworks, respectively. Zeolite were modified in order to increase ability for elemental mercury (Hg0) removal from simulated gas stream.
