LANGUAGE POLICY FOR SUCCESSFUL ENGINEERING EDUCATION

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2010, AL. LIPAEV, S. Lipaev, L. Alekseeva)

The aim of the Bologna Process is to promote the European system of higher education worldwide, remove obstacles to student and academic mobility within Europe, and bring increased career opportunities for students and teachers in the European employment market. Since 2003 Russia has been involved in the Bologna process. Perhaps the task seems to be extremely ambitious. But we hope it will help us to change the situation with foreign languages acquisition for the better. A significant number of educational experim...

THERMAL PROPERTIES OF THE URALS SERPENTINOUS DUNITES (OLIVINE ROCK) AT ELEVATED TEMPERATURES

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2010, A. Lipaev, S. Lipaev, L. Alekseeva)

The authors were the first to carry out the investigation of thermal properties of serpentinous dunites (olivine rock) at Mount Soloviev, Nizhny Tagil duniteclinopyroxenite massif. The collection studied includes 12 dunite samples varying in the degree of serpentinization in the range of values from near 0 to practically 100\%. The samples of serpentinous dunites from the Urals were investigated for thermoconductivity and thermal diffusivity by the apparatus applying the method of periodic heating in the system of...

LABORATORY INVESTIGATION OF PERIODIC TEMPERATURE FIELDS AND HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER IN ROCKS

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2009, AL. Lipaev, S. Lipaev)

Periodic thermal processes and periodic temperature fields are of widespread occurrence in nature and technology. In nature they are at a large conditioned by periodic processes, such as the Earth’s one year period orbital motion, its diurnal rotation, etc. In conductive heat transfer mechanism daily variations in temperature almost decay in a layer about 1 meter thick and annual variations do it in a 18-21meters thick layer. In the case that periodic Sun heating coincides with fluid mass transfer (when water pe...
