PROSPECTS OF GEOCHEMICAL MONITORING ON THE BASIS OF BOREHOLE OIL SAMPLES AT BYPASSED OIL RESERVES LOCALIZATION

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-09-20, S.P. Novikova, Zilia Rizvanova, Rustam Ziniukov, Sergey Usmanov)

During the oil field development process some of productive formation areas remain undrained which brings to decrease of total recovery factor. Conventional methods of reservoir development control including well testing, tracer studies as well as reservoir simulation have significant limitations when analyzing the inter-well space. To localize oil saturated undrained areas in the inter-well space, it is necessary to develop new approaches, and one of them may be the geochemical survey based on analysis of gas com...

Tatarstan is one of the richest regions of Russia in terms of oil deposits. There are more than 100 oilfields with more than 3 000 000 000 tons of oil extracted up to day. The main deposits concentrated in in Devonian and Carbonic deposits, controlled by different genesis traps. Tatarstan is divided into 3 parts by the main rivers пїЅ Volga and Kama. The main oil deposits concentrated in the South-East part (South Tatar arc), while there are almost no oil in the North (North Tatar arc). To understand the structure...
