EVALUATING THE IMPACT OF AUTOMOBILE POLLUTION ON THE HEALTH OF THE ROMANIAN POPULATION THROUGH STATISTICAL METHODS

(STEF92 Technology, 2024-11-01, Mădălina Rus, Silvia Vereşiu, Elena Mereuţă, Valentin Amorțilă, George Bălășoiu)

This research aims to conduct a descriptive statistical analysis to identify the statistical correlation between categories of new and second-hand vehicles registered for circulation in Romania and various health conditions associated with atmospheric pollution. Currently, a significant challenge for the global community lies in mitigating the impact of atmospheric pollution, considered a crucial factor both in terms of global climate change and its impact on public health. One major source of atmospheric pollutio...

This research aims to conduct a detailed analysis of the necessity for generating electrical energy using conventional methods, simultaneously assessing the impact on water quality. Wastewater, originating from fluids used in industrial processes or households, contains various impurities and is discharged into the natural aquatic environment (such as rivers, lakes, or the Black Sea) or onto various lands, either with or without prior treatment. The production and utilization of primary energy raw materials, such ...

THE PREDICTION AND OPTIMIZATION OF ALTERNATIVE FUEL CONSUMPTION IN VEHICLES USING ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORKS WITH THE AIM OF REDUCING ATMOSPHERIC POLLUTION

(STEF92 Technology, 2024-11-01, Valentin Amorțilă, Elena Mereuţă, Silvia Vereşiu, Mădălina Rus, Balasoi George)

The purpose of this work is to explore the potential for predicting and improving the fuel efficiency of vehicles with thermal engines, especially in the context of reducing exhaust gas emissions that contribute to environmental pollution. With rising fuel costs, consumers need to make informed decisions about the fuel consumption and environmental impact of purchasing vehicles with internal combustion engines. To achieve this goal, the researchers utilized artificial intelligence and created a model using neural ...

WIND POWER PREDICTION IN THE DOBROGEA REGION OF ROMANIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Silvia Vereşiu)

In the current context, characterized by the alarming increase in pollution caused by energy production from fossil fuels it is becoming increasingly important to reduce this dependence. Wind energy can be a very good solution to global energy problems. Romania's wind potential is considered one of the largest in Europe, the Dobrogea region having the largest wind potential in Romania. The objective of this paper is to draw an image of the near future projection of the wind potential in this region. The problem of...

EXPERIMENTAL TEST FOR EXHAUST GASES RECIRCULATION SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC BASED ON GAS INDEX COEFFICIENT

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Valentin Amortila, Elena Mereuta, Daniel Ganea, Madalina Rus, Silvia Veresiu)

The aim of this paper is to present a detailed method for exhaust gases recirculation system (EGR) diagnostics for a compression ignition engine. In this paper, we analyzed the gas index coefficient, Kmax [m-1], using a Johnson Controls пїЅ Ultimax 600 opacimeter while the vehicle was in static state but at different engine speeds. The minimal rotation speed, nmin, had a value of 822 [rpm] while the maximum, nmax, 5006 [rpm]. In this case, was used the absorption process for measuring. The dynamic test imply using...
