APPLICATIONS OF MATLAB SOFTWARE FOR STUDYING COMMUTATION OVER-VOLTAGES OF INDUCTIVE LOADS

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Titu Niculescu, Dragos Pasculescu)

The commutation of inductive low voltage circuits of alternating current is accompanied by the occurrence of commutation over-voltages, often hazardous for the components of the electrical circuit. This paper describes a modern method for studying transitory regimes which occur at the disconnection of inductive circuits, based on the usage of a data acquisition system type NI-USB 6003 manufactured by National Instruments. The software used is Matlab, and the data acquisition method is based on Matlab programming. ...

EXPERIMENTAL ASSESSMENT OF COMMUTATION OVER-VOLTAGES IN INDUCTIVE CIRCUITS ON CONNECTION

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Dragos Pasculescu, Titu Niculescu)

In industrial power installations are encountered situations on the connection of inductive circuits to alternating voltage sources. These operations are accompanied by the occurrence of specific transitory regimes after which might occur over-voltages peaks which can become hazardous for the components of the circuit. The assessment of these over-voltages and of other specific electrical parameters represents the purpose of this paper. The measurement method is based on the usage of a data acquisition system prod...

EXPERIMENTAL ASSESSMENT OF COMMUTATION OVER-VOLTAGES IN INDUCTIVE CIRCUITS ON DISCONNECTION

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Titu Niculescu, Dragos Pasculescu)

The disconnection of inductive circuits from an alternating voltage source is accompanied by the occurrence of over-voltages, which often are hazardous for the components of the electrical circuit. In this paper is described a modern method for studying transitory regimes which occur at the disconnection of inductive circuits, based on a data acquisition system type NI-USB 6003. The software used is LabView and it is also developed by National Instruments, the developer of the data acquisition system. The paper ap...

INCREMENTAL CONDUCTANCE ALGORITHM USED IN APROGRAMMABLE MICROCONTROLLER AS MAXIMUM POWER POINT TRACKER

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Marius Marcu, Titu Niculescu, Florin Popescu, Razvan Slusariuc)

The conversion of the solar energy depends mostly on the irradiance of the Sun at the level of the photovoltaic panel. Another significant factor that modifies the solar energy conversion is the temperature at the surface of the PV panel. The energy output of the Sun is fairly constant, but the solar irradiance varies significantly from one hour to another and changes throughout the day. In this paper we are presenting the design of a simple but effective MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracker) charge controller based ...

MATLAB APPLICATIONS IN THE STUDY OF CONNECTION SCHEMES OF INDUCTIVE CIRCUITS TO ALTERNATIVE CURRENT SOURCES

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Titu Niculescu, Marius Marcu, Florin Popescu, Razvan Slusariuc)

In industrial electric installations there are situations when inductive circuits are connected to AC power sources. These operations are accompanied by the appearance of specific transients after which may occur overvoltage spikes that can become dangerous for components in the circuit. Evaluation of these surges and other electrical specific parameters are the subject of this paper. Measurement method is based on using a data acquisition system produced by National Instruments and MATLAB is used as software envi...
