HEAT DISSIPATION FROM THE ELECTRICAL BOX BY NATURAL CONVECTION

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Tomáš Puchor)

A heat pipe is a structurally simple device capable transfer high heat fluxes over relatively long distances. With first heat pipe concept comes Angier March in 1831 as a hermetically sealed tube used to heat transfer in furnaces. If the vapour and liquid phases are separated from each other in heat pipe, then it is a loop thermosyphon. These solution is preferably mainly therefore that the thermal performance of the loop thermosyphon is not limited by the interaction limit (condensate droplets are not entrained b...

SIMULATING AIR FLOW THROUGH POROUS MATERIAL AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR RIBBED HEAT EXCHANGER MODEL

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Tomáš Puchor)

The aim of the work is to achieve a successful replacement of the ribbed heat exchanger (evaporator) for later simulation of the loop thermosiphon performance for cooling the electrotechnical box. The Ansys CFD program will be used for simulation, which needs the simplest network for correct and optimal calculations. Because of the complexity and the large number of cells in the ribbed exchanger, there is just a replacement model. A porous model evaporator will be used as a replacement. For this purpose, several p...
