The paper presents comparative studies aimed at reducing labor costs of Bond Ball Mill Work Index test (BWi) by using a number of alternative techniques. Methods of Ahmadi and Shahsavari, Berry and Bruse, Gharehgheshlagh, Horst and Bassarear, Kapur, Magdalinovich, a standard Bond test with feed sizing into limited size grades, and a standard Bond test with grain size analysis of subsamples of milled product were compared.
