The paper presents a calculation of an annual balance between the water inflow and discharge in the Cheboksary hydrosystem reservoir. The calculation is implemented in MathCad. The calculation is based on the principle of identifying the main areas of water use and water consumption, including hydroenegetics, water transport, drinking and industrial water supply, fishery, and recreation.
