The problems of sintering process are dust emissions and pollutant emissions, especially SO2. During the actual production in the sintering process emission ceiling limits are exceeded. They are being implemented measures that prevent from breaking SO2 emission limit. The sulfur content of feedstocks influences both the quality of sinter and the pig iron and the amount of SO2 emissions.
