Abstract

The paper gives a brief overview of the possibility of using microorganisms in ecological farming. Increasing the world's population is a serious challenge in the future to ensure food for mankind. That is why the scientists are looking for ways to increase agricultural production in a sustainable way and preserve the quality of the environment. The current concept of agriculture tends towards a unifying vision in which crop plants, microorganisms and agricultural land form a unity. Within this complex system, the relationships between organisms, on the one hand, and the relationships between them and the abiotic environment, on the other hand, are governed by subtle regulation mechanisms. In soil, there is a complex communication system that controls and regulates interactions between different biological populations. These interactions are based on the synthesis and release of active molecules that generate responses on feedback mechanisms. Knowledge of this complex system would allow us to optimize the relationship of microorganisms/agricultural crops in order to achieve an efficient exploitation of soil resources and to increase agricultural production. Recent efforts made by scientists have focused on microbial activities in the rhizosphere area in an attempt to provide biotechnological solutions for agriculture of the future.
