Abstract

This paper describes the main principals and ideas for setting up the National Geological Server of the Ministry of Environment and Water (MEW), that will serve not only to present the main activities in the field of geology, prospecting, exploration and exploitation of underground resources in Bulgaria, but also to present to the public available collected geological information by the means and popularity of the Internet technologies. As National, the geological server will present Bulgaria and will be part of the network of servers of geological surveys of European countries, united on Meta level by the server of the organization of European Geological Surveys (EuroGeoSurveys).
