STRUCTURE AND EFFICIENCY OF NANOSTRUCTURED "VISCOSITY"ADDITIVE BASED ON SEVILENE

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-11-20, Baibekova, Liia)

The work is devoted to the investigation of the viscous properties of a nanostructured additive based on sevilene, as well as the evaluation of its structure by the method of IR Fourier spectroscopy on the Shimadzu IR Prestige-21 Fourier spectrometer. The structure of agglomerates of the additive is proposed, which consists of a core-nano-sized particle of aluminum oxide bound to polymers (sevilene) by associative bonds. In this case, a partial restructuring of vinyl acetate units occurs. The absorption band of 13...

EFFECT OF NEGATIVE EXTERNALITY ELIMINATION ON TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT ASSESSMENT

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-11-20, Korytarova, J., Rudolecka, M., Zacpal, J.)

Assessment of economic efficiency of transport infrastructure projects also includes impact of these projects on the environment. This paper focuses on the effects of exogenous costs associated with removing/reducing negative externalities such as traffic noise or exhaust fumes from cars. These effects are evaluated by using Cost Benefit Analysis according to their influence on the beneficiaries. The presented analysis has been performed on the sample of 47 Czech large-scale transport infrastructure projects proce...

ECONOMIC IMPACT OF THE METALLURGICAL COMPLEX ON THE ECOLOGICAL BALANCE: RATIONAL USE OF RESOURCES AND EVALUATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL MEASURES

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-29, Eliseeva, Evgeniya)

The modern society is focused on the main recommendations of the TEEB - The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity. One of the document directions is "Business can save biodiversity and improve the exploitation of ecosystems". The task is to strengthen those economic development strategies that are environmentally sound, socially just and profitable for business. Such measures are an integral part of the resources rational use policy in modern industrial enterprise. The object of this study was the process of pr...

DROBETA TURNU SEVERIN WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT EFFICIENCY

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Visescu, M., Carabet, A., Enescu, S.)

Wastewater treatment plants that currently lack biological step have a low efficiency in wastewater treatment. This causes polluted emissions to be discharged into emissaries. An example of this is Drobeta Turnu Severin wastewater treatment plant. Drobeta Turnu Severin City in Mehedinti county currently has 108 246 inhabitants, of which 80% benefit from centralized drinking water distribution and centralized system for collecting and transporting wastewater to the treatment plant. Drobeta Turnu Severin has a waste...

THE ENERGETIC ANALYSIS OF AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMP`S DEFROSTING SYSTEMS.

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Zloczowska, Ewelina)

One of the major problems with exploitation of air heat pumps (ASHP) in the cold season, is frosting of outdoor heat exchanger?s surface. A layer of frost accumulated on its surface, leads to decreased heating performance and energetic inefficiency. To restore the ASHP?s nominal capacity, a defrosting process needs to be conducted periodically. The necessity of this procedure causes penalty energy usage, decreasing already low COP in result. Analyzing commonly used ASHP systems, some possibilities of energy effici...

REAL EXERGY ANALYSIS FOR A HEAT EXCHANGER OF A HEATING SYSTEM

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Preda, L., Petrilean, D. C., Dosa, I.)

Exergy analysis is a tool, which indicates how far the system departs from the state of equilibrium. Exergy has been implemented as a preferred means of characterizing the impacts of resource consumption for the purpose of improving decision-making. The present study realizes an energy and exergy analysis for a heat exchanger in operation for a district heating system. Exergy balances of a heat exchanger were therefore established to identify the thermodynamic imperfections of the process using real data. They are...

ROLE AND RELEVANCE OF AN ELECTRO CONTROL SYSTEM FOR THE OPERATION OF A POWERED ROOF SUPPORT

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Szurgacz, D., Brodny, J.)

One of the most significant elements of every machine operation is its control system. Proper design, construction and operation of the control system is the key factor for correct and efficient operation of a machine. This particularly applies to mining machinery operating in hazardous environments and exposed to loads which cannot be fully predicted. Such machines must be therefore characterized by high reliability, durability, readiness and safety. In order to fulfil all these requirements, a machine must be eq...
