COMPARING PERFORMANCE OF STRUCTURED AND UNSTRUCTURED CATALYSTS IN DRY REFORMING OF METHANE

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Mitrichev, I., Shaneva, A., Zhensa, A., Koltsova, E.)

This study has its aim to compare the performance of modern structured and unstructured catalysts in a dry reforming of methane (DRM). DRM is used to obtain a mixture of H2 and CO with almost equal fractions of both products, which is subsequently used in synthesis of some chemical valuable products. The kinetic scheme for tungsten carbide (WC) catalyst was taken from the literature. Using the experimental data for a fixed bed catalyst, we have fitted the parameters of the kinetic scheme of DRM on WC catalyst. The...

ORGANIC AGRICULTURE AS A COMPONENT OF THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE KHERSON REGION (UKRAINE)

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, BREUS, D., Dudyaeva, O., Evtushenko, O., SKOK, S.)

The current state of agriculture in Ukraine confirms the necessity of sustainable development of this branch of economy capable to solve the country's food security and ensure the effective functioning of the domestic market, fair competition among agricultural producers and consumer confidence, protecting their interests, rational use of natural resources and creating conditions for preservation, reproduction and increase of soil fertility. These components are focused in the resolution of the EU Council No 834/2...

ESTIMATING MERCURY FOOTPRINT IN THE REGIONS OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Makarova, A., Kruchina, E., Fedoseev, A., Boriov, D., Suchkova, D.)

Modeling is used to predict the effects of chemicals at the a global or regional scale. Several models have been developed that describe the fate of chemicals in the environment, which are used to assess the mercury footprint of a country or even entire regions. For example, the following models are implemented in the form of software packages: CalTox, BETR, USEtox and others. However, imminent studies and models practically do not evaluate the spatial differentiation of the residence time of chemicals in the comp...

SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE APPLIANCE FOR RESEARCH, MODELLING AND OPTIMISATION OF CYCLIC PROCESSES OF GAS MIXTURE SEPARATION

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Akulinin, Evgeniy)

A task-oriented software and hardware system is designed for the operational selection of the instrumentation and process design options of pressure swing adsorption (PSA) processes. It will also control physical experiments to study the kinetics and dynamics of adsorption purification and separation of multicomponent gas mixtures and carry out mathematical modeling, optimization of operating cycles and optimal design of energy- and resource-saving PSA units. The possibilities of a task-oriented system are demonst...

MODELING EFFICIENCY OF BIOLOGICAL PROCESS WITH AEROBIC GRANULAR SLUDGE

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Boncescu, C., Robescu, L. D.)

Granular sludge aerobic technology (AGS) has been extensively studied in recent years because of its advantages compared to activated sludge technology. Currently, this technology is implemented in SBR (sequential batch bioreactor) configuration. An experimental model bioreactor was designed for adapting the AGS technology to continuous flow conditions. It consists of a rectangular shape bioreactor, an area for pre-settling and recycling of granules, followed by a settling tank. This configuration is more suitable...
