EFFECT OF NEGATIVE EXTERNALITY ELIMINATION ON TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT ASSESSMENT

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-11-20, Korytarova, J., Rudolecka, M., Zacpal, J.)

Assessment of economic efficiency of transport infrastructure projects also includes impact of these projects on the environment. This paper focuses on the effects of exogenous costs associated with removing/reducing negative externalities such as traffic noise or exhaust fumes from cars. These effects are evaluated by using Cost Benefit Analysis according to their influence on the beneficiaries. The presented analysis has been performed on the sample of 47 Czech large-scale transport infrastructure projects proce...

THE USE OF SIMTALK PROGRAM FOR MODELLING DISCONNECTION OF RAIL VEHICLES IN THE MINERAL RAW MATERIALS MINING

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Fedorko, G., Vasil, M.)

Mining rail transport is one of the main transport systems within intra-plant logistics of mining enterprises. Its main task is the transportation of raw materials from mining sites for further processing. For efficient operation it is necessary to apply planning and optimization tools. Within the optimization processes as a one of the key tools in engineering practice appears to be a computer simulation method. For proper applying it is, however, necessary to handle modelling of some particularities which are rel...

FEM ANALYSIS OF A CONVEYOR BELT ON THE DRIVING DRUM OF A PIPE CONVEYOR

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Fedorko, G., Jassova, B.)

The contribution deals with pipe conveyors, which currently provide great environmental and economic benefits. Construction of the pipe conveyor is developed from standard belt conveyors with one major distinction, which is forming of the conveyor belt into the pipe. Wrapping the belt into the pipe form prevent leakage of material under the conveyor path and contamination of the surroundings. Among the main advantages belongs, in addition to the environmental impact, the option to transport material in both belt s...

FUEL CONSUMPTION MONITORING IN MINING OPERATION FOR THE NEEDS OF ECONOMIC ANALYSIS OF TRANSPORT MEANS

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Neradilova, H., Hodemarsky, T.)

Transport means play an important role in extraction and processing of raw materials. Their use is economically connected with several cost items that significantly affect whole process efficiency. Generally costs associated with mining road haulage can be divided into two major categories of the variable and fixed costs. From above mentioned dividing is necessary to pay particular attention to variable costs, which are influenced by the size of individual transport activities. Among the most important items inclu...

ROPECON - PROGRESSIVE TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM FOR CONTINUOUS RAW MATERIALS TRASPORTATION

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Neradilova, H., Stolarik, J.)

Transport systems are an important component of intra-plant logistics. Their role is the provision of transport services in order to ensure the efficient functioning of the individual processes. The quality and reliability of the transport system greatly affects the efficiency of intra-plant logistics. The extractive and mining industries are particularly sensitive to these indicators and parameters of transport technologies. The use of transport technology in this industry is dependent on a number of factors. The...

MASS TRANSPORT COMPLEX IN THE BASIN FLOOR ENVIRONMENT OF THE DANUBE SUBMARINE FAN, WESTERN BLACK SEA

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Nicolescu, O., DINU, C.)

In the northwestern Black Sea the Danube deep sea fan has an extent of over 150 km and stretches from several hundred meters water depth down to the abyssal plain at 2200 m water depth. This large turbiditic system comprises a series of channel-levee systems, with deposits of mass transport. Its evolution was due to the fluctuations of sea level and sediment inputs. Sedimentary and seismic facies identified on the Danube deep sea fan are similar to those that characterize most fans of this type. In the study area ...
