SPECIATION AND QUANTIFICATION OF ARSENIC IN WATER AND SEDIMENT SAMPLES BY HPLC-ICP-MS TECHNIQUE

(STEF92 Technology, 2025-12-27, Cristina Dinu, Anda-Gabriela Tenea, Alexandru Paul Rus, Gabriela Geanina Vasile, Amy E. Paris)

The aim of the study was to develop and validate analytical methods for the detection and quantification of arsenic species (As(III), DMA, MMA and As(V)) in different environmental matrices, including drinking water, surface water, groundwater, and sediments. The experimental tests were performed on a HPLC 1260 Infinity II coupled with an ICP-MS 7850 Agilent. For aqueous matrices, the method was validated within a working range of 10-50 microg/L using an Agilent G3154-65002 guard column and an Agilent G3154-65001 ...

GREEN ENTREPRENEURSHIP AS A FACTOR OF SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN BALTIC STATES

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Daina Vasiļevska)

In the world community, some experience has already been gained in the development of the "green economy". The Baltic States are in search of rational forms of combining objective indicators and criteria for applying them in the planned plans for the development of a "green" economy, taking into account the specifics of the economy and the availability of the resource-resource potential of the Baltic region countries. The sectors of the green economy that have a high green potential and play a major role in divers...

ELECTROCHEMICAL DETERMINATION OF LEAD IN WATER SAMPLES USING MODIFIED ELECTRODE BASED ON POLYAZULENE DERIVATES

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Mihaela-Eleonora VASILE)

The purpose of the study was to develop an electrochemical method for detection of lead at low level of contamination in water samples using a carbon glassy electrode modified with the functionalized azulene: (2E)-2-(azulen-1-ylmethylidene) hydrazine carbothioamide (L) as a complexing polymer film. The modified electrodes were prepared in L solutions (1mM) in acetonitrile (CH3CN) containing tetra n-butyl ammonium perchlorate (0.1 M TBAP) as supporting electrolyte. The analyses were performed on Autolab PGSTAT 12 P...

METAL ACCUMULATION IN SALVIA OFFICINALIS GROWN IN CONTAMINATED SOIL FROM A WASTE MINING DUMP

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Cristina Dinu, Gabriela-Geanina Vasile, Eleonora - Mihaela Ungureanu, Lidia Kim, Liliana Valeria Cruceru)

The aim of this study was to investigate the process of accumulation of some toxic metals in Salvia Officinalis cultivated in-situ and also in controlled laboratory experiment. In situ experiment was located in a highly polluted area, situated in the proximity of abandoned gold mine and a waste dump. In the study were collected and analyzed four different samples of Salvia Officinalis, grown on polluted soil situated in different geographic directions around a waste dump. The analytical investigation indicated tha...
