Kosova is a country rich in coal, mainly lignite type and regarding to the reserves, it is ranked in the fifth place in the world. Estimated resources of lignite are average 12.7miliard tones, which are distributed in three main basins (Kosova, Dukagjin and Drenica). Approximately 50\% of entire country natural resources constitutes this type of coal.
