GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS - AN EFFECTIVE IMPLEMENT FOR MODELLING EFFECTS OF MINING ACTIVITY

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2008, Blistan, Peter, Koziakova, Ludmila)

GIS of mining corporation like an efective implement for modelling effects of mining aktivity. Geodetic observations constitute the basic sources of data for GIS. Using data transferred into this environment, it is possible to create digital models of undermined areas. The use of geographic information system enables various analyses of further movements of points inside the observed area. On the base of product ArcGIS will be activated system for monitoring effects from mining activity in the location Solivar near...

HYDROGEOLOGICAL MONITORING OF COAL STRIP MINE, PK "DRMNO" CASE STUDY

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2008, Pusic, Milenko, Marinkovic, Vladislav, Avramovic, Aleksandar, Pesic, Snezana, Radojica, Milanovic)

Coal bed “Drmno” encompasses the area of 60 km2, and total reserves are estimated to 608·106 tons. The coal is being exploited by mine stripping method, and the capacity was 6·106 tons in 2007. Coal layer, with average thickness of 16 m, relatively uniformly sinks from the terrain surface, at the east of the bed, towards west and north, with average slope of about 6°. Coal depth ranges from 35 m, from eastern front advance point, to 100 m, in the western front point. Coal exploitation is impeded by water-bearing c...

POSSIBILITIES OF GIS AND COMPOSITE WEB APPLICATIONS IN THE SPHERE OF FACILITY MANAGEMEN

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2008, T. Minarcik, R. Ozana, B. Horakova)

In the last few years has begun the development of dynamic web applications, often called Web2.0. From this development was created a technology of composite web application also called Mashups. Composite web applications may easily combine huge amounts of data sources and functionalities of existing as well as future web applications and services. Therefore, they are used to develop a new device, which offers new possibilities in information usage. Great advantage of this technology is lowering the cost for the s...

DIGITAL MODLING OF FLOODS

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2008, Gergelova, Marcela, Kirov, Boris, Blistan, Peter)

Highly accurate digital terrain model (DTM) is nowadays considered to be a top-level tool for modeling processes on earth surface. Particularly important is its application in the regions endangered by natural disasters – especially floods. Occurrence of extreme flowage – floods in the past few years has not only intensified, but began to interfere in to regions, that up till now didn´t experienced floods. Each year brings greater damage on properties and infrastructure. Potential size of inundated area, progress ...

SOFTWARE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE GEODATABASE MODEL OF THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2008, B. Delipetrev, D. Mihajlov, T. Delipetrev)

This paper presents software implementation of the geo-database model of the Republic of Macedonia. Geo-database model is developed using the latest information technology, GIS, .NET and relational database. All phases of the software implementation are explained, starting from creating relational database Teкton in SQL Server 2000, enabling geo-database Teкton using SpatialWare 4.8 for entering spatial data, inserting vector maps into geo-database Teкton to developing specialized applications (Desktop Tools and G...

MINERALS PROPERTIES SELECTION USING AJAX AND WEB SERVICES INTEGRATION

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2008, Cirbes, Pavel Horovcak . . Igor Lesso Peter)

Continually and impressive amplification of internet technologies development and implementation enables the creation of productive, efficient, rich useful and interactive web applications. The contribution briefly characterizes a SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), WS (Web Service) and AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript And XML). The paper illustrates advantages of AJAX and WS integration on application example for interactive selection of one or more minerals according to actual chosen selection criteria. The applic...

MODIFICATION OF PROCEDURES FOR GENERATION OF CONTOUR DESCRIPTION FROM DIGITAL GRAPHIC IMAGES

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2008, Marinov, Borislav)

The comparison of different types of line and boundary detectors is made. The appropriate modifications of procedures for processing of grey level or binary images are analysed. The accuracy and quality of contours generated from images with different resolution are estimated. Different procedures for line following and contour interpolation for structural description of vector information obtained from digital images are compared. The properties of these procedures are encountered and the criteria for choice of t...

VISUALIZATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL DATA

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2008, Kralikova, Ruzena, Rovnak, Martin, Kralik, Matus)

This paper describes utilization of environmental data to support decision-making in environmental management and protection. This requires a thorough knowledge of related developments in computer science and a good understanding of the environmental management tasks at hand. As computational power increases, and observation systems sample the environment more densely in space and time, environmental datasets have become increasingly large and more complex. Furthermore, environmental datasets, both observed data a...

CREATION OF GEOLOGIC MODEL OF DEPOSIT

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2008, J. Ardielli)

The main objective of deposit geology is in the most precisely way to determine guess of reserves of mineral material on the deposit. For realize of this target it is requisite to construe geologic model of deposit, which utmost approaches to real shape of the deposit. In case of coal deposits it is necessary to carry out regular identification and correlation of coal seam, or more precisely their partial genetic or extractive seams. It necessitates assembling and depicting of borehole profiles with demarcated sea...
