SIMULATIONS OF THE SPREAD OF POLLUTIONS IN BUILT-UP AREAS AND IMPACT ON HUMAN HEALTH

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-12-20, Faltejsek, Michal, Helekalova, Katerina)

Innovative and modern directions, especially BIM and its subsequent extension to CIM, can be considered to be the main topics of construction development. The work connects individual innovative areas of a comprehensive view of the entire life cycle of buildings in connection with and with regard to the entire built-up area and offers new knowledge for urban management, facility management and other fields of construction. The second part uses a 3D model of the city to simulate the spread of pollution in the devel...

ASSESSMENT AND PROGNOSIS OF ATMOSPHERIC POLLUTION CAUSED BY HOUSEHOLD WASTE LANDFILLS

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-09-20, Calamar, Angelica-Nicoleta, Gaman, George Artur, Toth, Lorand, Sorin, Simion, Kovacs, Izabella)

At present, the issue of waste management is becoming more acute because of increased quantity and diversity of waste, as well as because of its more and more pronounced negative impact on the environment. The current paper showcases a study carried out at a compliant household waste landfill where the following were monitored: quality of air containing wind driven suspensions, gases coming from the warehouse surface or from trapping and burning methane resulted from landfill?s cells as well as odorants released i...

GROUNDWATER ANTHROPOGENIC POLLUTION IN THE OIL AND GAS FIELDS OF KAZAKHSTAN

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-09-20, Yermenbay, Aray, Osipov, Sergey, Livinsky, Yurii)

Groundwater in the territory of Kazakhstan is present in very diverse hydrogeological conditions and is subject to powerful human impact. First of all, it is manifested in groundwater pollution. Basic sources of groundwater pollution are gaseous, liquid and solid substances and production wastes of mining and gas and oil producing complexes industrial enterprises, agricultural facilities, cities and large population centers, large dumps of production, domestic and radioactive wastes etc. They cause habitat degrada...

THE IMPORTANCE OF VEHICLE STEERING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS IN REDUCING ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-09-20, Gingarasu, Mihai, Mereuta, Elena, Amortila, Valentin, Humelnicu, Costel, Novetschi, Monica)

The worldwide exponential increase of vehicles in operation generates, in addition to meeting transport needs, serious problems with environmental pollution. Vehicle pollution means not only pollution with exhaust emissions, but also tire pollution. Microparticles resulting from the interaction between tire and driveway or waste tires have a negative impact on the environment, regarding air, water and soil pollution. Solutions to reduce this type of pollution are not only the subsequent treatment or reuse of waste...

BALLAST WATER MANAGEMENT IN THE BLACK SEA BASIN

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-09-20, Novac, Valerian, Moraru, Luminita, Onea, Florin, Rusu, Eugen)

Being an almost landlocked sea, the Black Sea has a particular situation regarding water exchange and circulation. Moreover, the anthropogenic pressure and shipping related activities worsen the situation of this sea from the pollution point of view. The introductory part of the article presents the role of the ballast water system onboard ships in a few words. Then, the paper presents the environmental context of the Black Sea with the focus on the wind and waves, factors which can affect the ship stability. The ...

THE CONCENTRATION OF MACRO AND MICRO ELEMENTS IN OPEN AND CLOSED GROUND SOILS IN THE TERRITORIES OF ADJARA REGION

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-09-20, Nakashidze, Nunu, Kiknadze, Nino, Alasania, Nargiz, Jashi, Darejan, Lominadze, Shota)

Producing non-seasonal vegetables in Georgia is actually impossible without greenhouses and specially-designed constructions. Greenhouse enables us to be less depended on environmental conditions, as well as to accumulate sun power and to artificially regulate all necessary factors for growth and development of various plants, to protect plants from unfavorable and adverse nature affects such as hail, wind, draught and freezing. In open ground soils the producing process of vegetable crops terminates as soon as un...

SUSPENDED LOAD OF RIVERS AS AN INDICATOR OF TECHNOGENIC POLLUTION

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-09-20, Osovetsky, Boris)

The area of intensively polluted territories in the world has been constantly increasing. The ecological situation within such territories is rather difficult. As to Russia one of these territories is the Urals. It is the populated region with a lot of wastes after very long period of mining activity (extraction of gold, platinum metals, salts, coal, diamonds, precious stones, copper, iron, oil, etc.). The special litho-monitoring program is worked out by the Perm University scientists with the purpose to control ...

NATURAL REGENERATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT IN THE AREA OF THE OLD KRUMOVO IRON MINE IN SOUTHEAST BULGARIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-09-20, Ivanov, Ivan, Panayotova, Marinela)

The ore extraction from Krumovo deposit, located at the northern periphery of the Manastir heights in Southeast Bulgaria started in 1906 and continued till 1986. The ore comprised Fe3O4 with admixtures of sulfides such as pyrite, pyrrhotite, marcasite and chalcopyrite. Open pits and underground workings were used. The excavations severely degraded the habitats, vegetation and waters on an area of about 3 km2. By 1986 waste rock (comprising hydrothermally altered basic magmatic rocks, such as gabbro or diorites, ma...
