ANALYSIS OF GEOMAGNETIC DATABASES IMPACTING SPACE WEATHER

(STEF92 Technology, 2024-11-01, Laurențiu Asimopolos, Natalia-Silvia Asimopolos, Vijdea Anca-Marina, Dinu Luminita, Adrian-Aristide Asimopolos)

Through the complex analysis of the geomagnetic database of the Surlari Geomagnetic Observatory for over 80 years, corroborated with the data of other planetary observatories from the INTERMAGNET network, we have extracted the geomagnetic information that is correlated with the specific physical parameters of space weather domain. Space weather refers to the conditions and phenomena occurring in outer space that can influence the near-Earth space environment. This concept includes a variety of events and condition...

CHEMOMETRIC PROFILE OF WHITE AND RED WINES FROM DIFFERENT AREAS OF ROMANIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2024-11-01, Petronela Anca Onache, Alina Florea, Dorin Ioan Sumedrea, Ovidiu Tiţa)

In this research, we studied wines from eleven wine regions of Romania (Stefanesti, Dragasani, Dealul Mare, Minis, Blaj, Babadag, Focsani, Tarnave, Silagiu, Iasi, Cotnari), but also for two years of different production (2019 and 2021), to observe their chemometric profile according to the geographical origin. The chemical composition was determined for 40 white wines and 34 red wines. The studied chemical parameters were alcohol concentration, wine density, total acidity, free and total sulfur dioxide, non-reduci...

Municipalities can take various measures to prevent damage from extreme rainfall events like increasing the dimension of the combined sewer system, separate them into foul and storm sewer systems, increase the infiltration capacity of the subsoil by reducing the (poorly permeable) paved surface, increase the infiltration surface in (underground) facilities or increase the permeability of the paving, install green / blue roofs to ensure delayed drainage and evaporation of water to the atmosphere or by building stor...

IMPACT ASSESSMENT OF BRIDGE STRUCTURE ON THE FLOOD INUNDATION IN ILE-BOUCHARD, FRANCE

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, A. Anca)

The construction of bridges over watercourses is a practice that is vitally important to provide communication links between population areas. It is significant to understand the hydraulics, hydrology and geomorphology of the watercourse, and how these factors will affect and be affected by the bridge structure in order to ensure the safety and efficient design of these water crossings. The village of L'Ile-Bouchard is located in the center of France. Increasing of traffic is one of the most serious problems in vi...
