HYDROLOGIC SIMULATION AS APPLIED TO THE STUDY OF ANCIENT AND MODERN GEODYNAMIC PROCESSES WITHIN PLATFORMS

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-12-05, Inna Chernova)

The aim of the study is to elaborate an understanding of the impact that endogenous processes have on the development of erosion patterns on flatlands (within aseismic platforms). Most of the studies based on river flow simulation cover very limited areas (one river basin, one ravine, one stream) and a narrow time range (days, months, a few years). The scope of the study can be expanded by modeling the erosion-tectonic relief. The object of this research is a rolling plateau in the east of the East European Plain....

PHOTOGRAMMETRY AND WAVELET ANALYSIS AS APPLIED TO 3D MODELING OF LAMINATED CLAYS

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-12-05, Inna Chernova)

The aim of this project was to create a detailed 3D model of Permian clay laminations. Modern image processing methods and wavelet analysis were used for 3D visualization, identification of the nature of laminations and calculation of mean and interval sedimentation rates. The images used in this project are the photographs of a clay sample taken from an outcrop of ?linguloid? clays. First, two faces of the sample were sanded and polished to the shine. Then the polished surfaces were scanned and photographed. Imag...

MODEL OF THE ARAL SEA SEDIMENTARY CYCLES

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Inna Chernova)

The goal of this project was to create a detailed model of the Aral Sea sedimentary cycles. Modern methods of image processing and wavelet analysis were used to reveal the nature of lamination and determine the average and interval sedimentation rates. The results obtained were then compared with those from the radiocarbon dating. The images used in this project are photographs of core (sediment) samples taken with hollow plastic tubes. The samples were removed from the tubes by cutting them in half lengthwise, an...

ANALYSIS OF MATHEMATICAL MODELS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS OF HIGH-ACCURACY SATELLITE GEODESY

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, A.A. Baltiyeva, L.S. Shamganova, A. Chernov)

This article defines the requirements for the architecture of the planned state satellite geodetic network, mathematical models (used in the processing of GPS measurements), navigation modules and analyses the possibility of integrating the high-precision geocentric coordinate system of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the global terrestrial system of the ITRS / ITRF. The main goal in solving problems of high-precision satellite geodesy is to determine the exact coordinates of the SGN point by processing code or ph...
