A STUDY ON THE TRANSITION TO CIRCULAR ECONOMY IN AGRICULTURE

(STEF92 Technology, 2025-08-15, Teodor Mateoc-Sîrb, Nicoleta Mateoc-Sîrb, Codrusa Chis, Oana Maria Sicoe-Murg, A. D. Copcea)

The concept of circular economy (CE) is a fundamental change in the way we perceive and manage resources, production, and consumption. The transition to a circular economy is a major challenge at international level, considering the context of limited natural resources and the growth of the global population. As the consumption of resources continues to increase, it is essential to find ways to manage raw materials more efficiently and to reduce the anthropic impact on the environment. In this context, the authors...

The purpose of this work is to identify some meteorological risk indicators that most accurately express the extreme nature of the manifestations of atmospheric phenomena in the western part of the country, and for this we analyzed a period of four years, between the years 2019-2022. Most of the basic meteorological parameters of these years were presented for the town of Timisoara, for which we took into account the thermal regime, the pluviometric regime, the atmospheric pressure, the duration of the glow. For t...

The paper presents the main limiting factors of the soils in the town of Biled, Timi? county, factors that affect the production potential of the soil cover in the area. The studied territory is located in the central part of Timi? county. The following limiting factors were reported: compactness of the soil, by 8.77%; excess phreatic moisture manifested by 12.74%, soil alkalinity manifested by 1.65%; soil acidity manifested on 0.24% and the low level of humus content signaled on 0.57% of the surface. As a result ...

RESEARCH REGARDING THE USE OF EGGSHELLS POWDER FOR SOILS REHABILITATION CONTAMINATED WITH CD AND PB

(STEF92 Technology, 2023-12-15, Antoanela Cozma, Maria Rada, Ariana Bianca Velciov, C. Mihuţ, A. D. Copcea)

Eggshells are one of the widely used by-products in the food processing and manufacturing industries. Due to the increased content of minerals, especially calcium and magnesium and less trace elements (iron, zinc, manganese, copper), chicken eggshell waste can be used in many agricultural activities as a mineral fertilizer, as an additive for improving the physical parameters of the soil, or reducing the accessibility of lead and cadmium from soils polluted with heavy metals, as a substitute for natural calcium ca...

STUDIES ON THE IDENTIFICATION OF THE MAIN SOIL PROPERTIES IN SAG, TIMIS COUNTY, ROMANIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2023-10-01, A. D. Copcea, C. Mihuţ, Corina Constanța Sîrbu, Adalbert Okros, Romina Mazare)

The village of Sag has an area of 8,664 ha, of which 8,419 ha is agricultural land. The deterioration of soil quality has negative repercussions on either one or all soil functions. From a geomorphological point of view, the territory of the village is located in the Banat- Crisana Plain, part of the Western Plain of Romania, the eastern extremity of the Tisza Plain, in the Timis-Bega interfluvium, a unit formed exclusively by the cumulative action of the Timis River. The sustainable use of the soil involves measu...

THE SOILS OF THE REMETEA MARE LOCALITY FOR A SUSTAINABLE USE

(STEF92 Technology, 2023-10-01, C. Mihuţ, A. D. Copcea, Veaceslav MAZARE, Adalbert Okros, Romina MAZARE)

The paper presents the cover of soils, their characteristics and the way of use according to the fertility and favorability of the soils identified in the Remetea Mare locality in Timis county. For this, a series of analyzes and field observations were carried out as well as comparisons of the initial data taken from previous studies and researches. Soil profiles were dug, 14 soil samples were collected in a disturbed structure to determine the main physico-mechanical, chemical and water indices, after which the d...

The main objective of this study is to analyse the main pedogenesis factors that have contributed to the formation of soils in Seca?, Timi? County, Romania, using modern methods. The pedological data found in the study are represented by the transformation of analogue maps into digital maps using the GIS method. To begin with, the study area, geomorphology, geology, hydrology and hydrography of the locality, climate and vegetation conditions, decisive factors in the formation of soils in the study area were delimi...

APPRECIATION ON BIODIVERSITY IN SEVERAL PERMANENT GRASSLANDS IN TIMIS COUNTY, ROMANIA. A CASE STUDY

(STEF92 Technology, 2022-12-27, Carmen Claudia Durău, C. Mihuţ, A. D. Copcea, Adalbert Okros, V. D. Mircov)

The biodiversity of grassland ecosystems is strongly affected by climatic changes, i.e., by the galloping progression of desertification. These aspects are more and more visible on permanent grasslands (communal pastures). Most researchers in grassland science consider as a major priority the conservation of biodiversity and of the productive potential of permanent grasslands, given that the decrease in the number of livestock has been accelerated. Thus, in recent years, they started case studies on permanent gras...

The research was carried out over 8 years and involves the performance of minimal works, by reducing the traffic with various agricultural machines and equipment, "Maschio" brand, namely: disc harrow, scarifier, roller and No Tillige seeder. I have carried out numerous researches and experiences in various agricultural holdings in Arad county, to the crop of wheat, corn and soybeans. The first tests were done on 129 ha, on soils with different textures, from fine to rough, but following the research, it was observ...

This study presents a fertilization plan in Zadareni, Arad County, Romania, on an area of 113 ha cultivated with soybean and maize. The identified soils were mostly chernozem (108 ha) and eutricambosol (5 ha). Twenty-three soil samples were collected and, based on the soil analyses performed in the laboratory and on the specific consumption by the plants as kg/ha active substance, a series of calculations were made regarding the need for fertilizers for the two crops. A fertilisation plan was then elaborated takin...

Research presented in this study aimed to identify the soils from two vineyards, Tirol and Moldova Noua, and to determine the physical and chemical properties of the soils there. Most of the vine plantations in the southern part of the vineyard are on soils that provide very good conditions for growth and development, especially for red wine vines. Preluvosoil, aluviosoil, districambosoil, and lithosol predominate the plateau. Following the research and analyses carried out, the following conclusions can be drawn:...

The objective of this paper is the morphological characterization as well as the establishment of soil quality classes in the commune of Dubova, Mehedinti County, Romania. Soil is a primary component for plant production, although it is often considered only as a physical support for plant growth. However, the concerns of mankind over the sustainability of agriculture have made it possible to consider that soil is a living, high-quality system and should, therefore, be preserved. This is the result of several inte...

This study describes the typology of family agricultural systems from the western part of Romania. Fourteen family agricultural farms from Arad County, Romania, are taken in the study, whose areas range between 0.34 ha and 25 ha, with an average of about 22 ha. The main crops within these farms are grain maize, followed by wheat, oats, sunflower and rapeseed and, on smaller areas, fodder, vegetables and triticale. Because the structure of the crops is very diverse - the largest area is 12.60 ha and the smallest on...
