Currently the Electron Probe X-ray Microanalysis (EPMA) is the leading method in investigating of chemical composition of new minerals, which can be detected as small accessories. The results of this method are required for registration of new minerals by the IMA Commission on New Minerals and Minerals Names. Six new minerals were found in other rocks from Baikal region by scientists of Institute of Geochemistry.
