In 2023, 18.3 GW of new wind energy conversion capacity was installed in Europe; most of them (79%) represent onshore capacities. In the exploration and mining industry, fixed and mobile machines use hydraulic drive systems (HDSs) involving hydraulic cylinders powered at high pressure rates.
